Semones, Hayes, Sylvester Mayor Harold Proctor Jr., and SRTC’s Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Vic Burke recently visited the new site to meet with students and their instructor, Jo Clements. Clements expressed her satisfaction with the new location, stating that it truly makes them feel like a part of the community. The students celebrate each other’s successes and provide support during challenging times.

Proctor and Hayes shared their own educational and career journeys with the students, applauding their dedication to self-improvement through education. Burke engaged in conversations with the students about their career ambitions and encouraged them to continue their education beyond high school equivalencies. He highlighted SRTC’s impressive job placement rate for graduates, which is over 99%, assuring them that earning a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit will pave the way for a rewarding career.

Expansion Across Multiple Locations

In addition to Sylvester, SRTC’s Adult Education program operates in various other locations, including Ashburn, Bainbridge, Blakely, Cairo, Camilla, Colquitt, Donalsonville, Moultrie, Thomasville, and Tifton. The program also offers online classes, further enhancing accessibility to education and aligning with the SDGs.
