China, under the visionary leadership of the Communist Party of China, has adopted a people-centric approach to alleviate poverty, advance high-quality development, and improve the wellbeing of its people. These efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Economic Advancement and Poverty Alleviation

Over the past few decades, China’s economic advancement and transformation have lifted about 800 million people out of extreme poverty. This achievement sets an example for other developing countries on how to harmonize economic development with social development.

Investments in Infrastructure, Education, and Healthcare

The Chinese government’s investments in infrastructure, education, and healthcare have played a vital role in improving the quality of life of its people. These investments reflect China’s progress towards achieving several SDGs:

  1. SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.
  2. SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
  3. SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

Common Development and Common Prosperity

China’s efforts to realize common development and common prosperity resonate with the foundational principle of the 2030 Agenda, which emphasizes fostering international partnerships for the betterment of all societies. This aligns with SDG 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.

Improving Human Rights and Well-being

In China, improving human rights means not only safeguarding and advancing the rights of each individual but also ensuring a healthy and economically fruitful life. This includes providing quality education and healthcare for all, generating jobs for the youth, caring for the elderly, and taking concerted climate actions to create a healthy living environment. China’s measures to lift about 800 million people out of extreme poverty, foster global collaboration, and improve the quality of education highlight the transformative power of pursuing common prosperity.

Rapid Strides in Education and Healthcare

China’s rapid strides in the fields of education and healthcare exemplify its common development approach. These efforts have helped improve people’s well-being and promote qualitative, sustainable economic development.

Commitment to Progress

China’s commitment to progress is evident in its efforts to promote common prosperity. With strong determination and dedication, China is passing through its golden age of development, marked by its pursuit of sustainable, high-quality, innovation-driven development in all sectors.

As China continues on this trajectory, it fortifies the foundation of shared human progress, demonstrating its commitment to help build a better world for all.
