Arrest Made in McDowell County for Sexual Exploitation of a Child
MARION, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday they arrested a woman for second and third degree sexual exploitation of a child.
The investigation, initiated on March 18th, was prompted by a report of possible child abuse involving Hannah Owensby, 25. Detectives seized several of Owensby’s electronic devices and discovered sexually explicit images of children.
In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office took swift action to ensure the safety and well-being of the child victims. This arrest aligns with SDG 16, which aims to promote peace, justice, and strong institutions.
